NaNoWriMo Day One

NaNoWriMo Day One:

Got up this morning and hit the keyboard early. Before beginning, I first needed to set up my iTunes playlist to give me some writing music. This is a YA fantasy adventure, so I cobbled together pieces from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (my personal favorite of the HP scores) and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (which adds not only some lighthearted pieces but also the darker stuff for when I write my stories villains).

Writing soundtrack: check.

First writing sprint I finished up around 1200 words, then took a break to eat breakfast and watch a little TV. Came back to the computer and finished up the rest of today’s writing. Uploaded NaNoWriMo site, 2357 words. Not bad for a guy who usually struggles to get 800-1000 out.

I’ve uploaded THE WIZARD IN MY WINDOW as a work in progress in several places: Smashwords will show it in their NaNoWriMo catalog, where you can download it in any format and view it for free. I’ll have today’s work as Day One on Wattpad, as well as on my Tales blog in WordPress (link to that is in the My Work on the Interwebs note).

You can wait for the finished version if you prefer, but I’d love to have to watch my progress and let me know what you think as I go along. I could use a cheering section, cuz this is going to get much MUCH harder as the month goes on!
