Prepping for NaNoWriMo

My NaNoWriMo prep is now in full swing. I’ve registered to the website and set up my novel there, set up a project in Scrivener and done the broad outline of the story.  I have the general idea of how the chapters will progress, I know the characters and I have a good idea of the beginning and end of each of their personal arcs.

I have yet to plot out a lot of specific scenes and detail, I may not do much of this, still waiting to see what comes to me. I may not plan it out in detail.  Frequently, a lot of that happens organically as I write, scenes will come to me.  So I may just leave the specifics out until I start writing.

Anyone else out there participating in NaNoWriMo? What have you done to prep and what do you still plan to do?

I’m doing it this year. I’m a ‘pantser’ but have decided to outline. It’s going well, and I actually may have a readable novel by Nov. 30!

First year doing NaNoWriMo and I have been prepping for weeks. Scrivener is an amazing app for doing my prep work, glad you like it also. You can add me as a writing buddy at http://nanowrimo.org/en/participants/arphaxad

Look forward to hearing more about your story.
